On the next Sunday, 11th June, the three parishes of Cehegín will join together to celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.

The traditional day will begin with the solemn mass which will take place in the parish of Santa María Magdalena, at 7 pm. After the mass celebration, the parade will take place through the streets of the old quarter of Cehegín, with the participation of brotherhoods, confraternities, parish groups, first communion children and the people in general.

To preserve the tradition, the organisers have informed that altars will be erected along the route, which is why the whole town is invited to decorate their balconies as a sign of exaltation and jubilation as the Custody passes by. The whole town is also invited to take part in the most important Christian procession in which the Blessed Sacrament is carried through the streets.
