In August Espacio Colibrí are incorporating a new activity in Cehegín: Botanical illustration and watercolour landscape workshops, led by Cristóbal Rodríguez (graduate in Fine Arts).
In addition, during the workshops, you will be able to enjoy natural ecological drinks and some special snacks.

Botanical and landscape illustration workshop in watercolours

GROUP: 10 people. The groups will be divided by age groups, so all are welcome. The days proposed for the workshops may be extended depending on the number of groups that request them.

PRICE: 15 euros / workshop --- 3 workshops: 35 €.

MATERIALS:
- Watercolours /watercolour set.
- Brushes of different numbers.
- Watercolour paper.
- Jar or bottle for water.
- Cloth or rag to clean the brushes.

Description of the activity

It will consist of three workshops of 1 hour and a half each in which we will study different ways of capturing nature through watercolour. The experience will be framed in the natural enclave of Espacio Colibrí, taking advantage of its beautiful surroundings.

The workshops will consist of:

- Botanical illustration: Wednesday 16th of August at 7:30 pm.

- Landscape illustration: Wednesday 23rd of August at 7:30 pm.

- Illustration of natural elements found during a previous walk of environment observation such as feathers or any element that has caught our attention: Wednesday the 30th of August at 7:30 pm.

● We will start with basic concepts about drawing and colour theory.
● We will study how to use watercolour materials.
● We will learn how to paint plant species, landscapes and elements that we find in nature.
● We will work outdoors, taking advantage of the plants and landscapes on the farm.
